November 3, 2003 (cont'd):  Lots of stuff happened in the last couple days.  We got gravel in after finding the oil tank and had it put in where the oil tank was and compacted in order to make it strong enough to support the new foundation.  Damn oil tank thing added nearly $1k to the job.  After that, the plumber came in and hooked up water and replaced the sewer line with the appropriate ABS Schedule 40 black pipe.  Today the first inspector from the sewer dept. came and gave us a lecture about putting the water pipe in the same trench as the sewer pipe.

He also talked about me getting a drawing done for the 'as-built' drawings for the city's files so they forever know where the sewer line is.  Kriss and I measured and drew and have now left the drawing outside for the inspector (another one) to come and pick up.  After the talk we got the thumbs up to compact the area and get to finishing the underground part of the job.  I left for work.  When I came back at 8:15pm the area was flat and there was a 'u' shaped trench on all but the south side.

Tomorrow I hope to see some forms start to appear.  Then we'll be able to place the plumbing and get some chases in etc.  We should be

Able to see changes in leaps and bounds from here on out.  Please stay tuned!!
