August 279 2004:   Most of the framing is done for the roof. Trusses are up, gable ends in place, braces and bird blocks are in place, all the metal is done, now we need to attach lookouts to make overhangs on the gable ends of the roof and facia to strengthen all of the rafter tails. This makes the entire perimeter of the roof more stable. This first picture is the peak of the lookouts on the South end of the roof...

Here is Kriss with the nail gun putting on the sheathing.  After sheathing comes the actual composition roofing material.  Kevin gives us all lessons in laying out and correctly installing the roofing material. Want a great roofer? Call Kevin. Email me if you'd like his number. He does jobs big and small and knows what he's doing.!  (how's THAT for a plug, Kevin?)...

Next picture shows (l to r) John, Jake, Kyle, Kevin and Tony up on the roof near when the last of the composition roofing material is put in place.

Below is Tony, Kriss and Kevin talking about flashing around the bathroom's skylight curb.

Here is a closer look at the ridge vent details.  The screening is overkill, as the honeycomb that makes up the actual ridge venting material is sufficient to keep out the bugs.
