August 27, 2004:  Really, we started the 2nd floor framing  on 6/22/04...the previous page was a mistake...NOW we're on to August 27, 2004…..Now, a full MONTH later (that's only like...3 weekends really)...we've got all (most) of the interior walls on the upper floor DONE!...Note the over-built door headers...the inspector laughed at them. Nice.  Anyway….

Kevin up top sliding all of the trusses into place. I'm installing the bird blocks while Kriss installs all of the spacers to keep each truss PERFECTLY SPACED. Nice!  (The weather was cooperative too!).                         

Once we got down our system, the trusses went up reasonably quickly. Kevin and I slide them into place,  Doug installs the metal brackets to hold 'em there, I put in the bird-block spacers and Kriss puts in all the upper spacers. Measurements occasionally taken to make sure that straight is being maintained helped us be sure we got 'em straight.  The hardest part was not photographed, which was us putting up the gable ends and getting them plumb and straight.  Here's Kevin...
